Those who live in Onitsha know the famous Business Park and what that area used to look like before it became what it is today.
The Business Park we see today was once a refuse dump, dirty, smelly, and an eyesore. It was a place many people avoided because of the heaps of waste and the unpleasant environment.
When His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, became Governor of Anambra State, he transformed that abandoned dumpsite into the modern Business Park that stands there today. He cleaned up the environment, developed the area into a thriving commercial hub, and handed it over to the state government.
Today, that same Business Park generates significant revenue for the Anambra State Government, creates jobs, attracts businesses, and contributes to the state’s economy.
That is the difference between a leader who creates wealth and one who merely consumes it. Peter Obi has consistently shown that with vision, prudent management, and the right priorities, neglected public assets can be transformed into lasting economic opportunities.
