I keep saying it, and I will say it again: His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, remains one of the most genuinely loved political figures I have ever seen. The love people show him is not manufactured, rented, or forced. It is organic.

I was at the airport waiting for His Excellency after his flight landed. For almost 30 minutes, he had not come out. Do you know why? The same passengers who travelled with him were surrounding him, taking pictures and selfies, greeting him, and interacting with him.
And Peter Obi, being Peter Obi, he patiently obliged.
That is the man I know: humble, disciplined, prudent, and remarkably down-to-earth.
He doesn’t disconnect himself from ordinary people. He interacts with them, listens to them, and tries to understand their daily struggles. This is important because leadership should never be separated from the realities of the people being led.
There is a saying: only the person wearing the shoe truly knows where it hurts. Peter Obi understands the pains and frustrations of ordinary Nigerians because he constantly engages with them.
Some people ask what he can accomplish in four years. My answer is simple: allow Peter Obi to lead Nigeria and judge him by his performance.
I firmly believe that even within his first 100 days in office, Nigerians will begin to feel a positive change in the direction of governance. Not because every problem accumulated over decades would magically disappear in 100 days or even four years, but because the signs of responsible leadership, fiscal discipline, accountability, prioritisation, and a government genuinely working for the people would become visible.
That is the difference.
I call him a wealth creator, a leader who understands that the government must create an environment that enables people to work, produce, invest, and prosper.
My people, when something good presents itself, we must have the courage to embrace it.
As 2027 approaches, get your PVC ready. Participate peacefully in the democratic process, vote according to your conscience, and protect the integrity of your vote through lawful means.
