HELLO, FELLOW NIGERIANS — LET US SETTLE THIS QUESTION ONCE AND FOR ALL.

There has been a recurring allegation that His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, left unpaid contractors behind after serving as Governor of Anambra State. I think we need to discuss this calmly, logically, and with facts rather than allowing repeated political narratives to become accepted as truth simply because they are repeated often.

Mr. Peter Obi has publicly challenged anyone who worked as a contractor under his administration and is still being owed to come forward and say so. That challenge has been repeated for years.

So, let us ask a very simple question:

Where are the contractors?

Peter Obi left office in 2014. More than a decade has passed. If there are contractors who completed legitimate jobs for his administration and were not paid, they should be identifiable. There should be names, companies, contracts, amounts owed, documents, and evidence that can be independently verified.

This should not be difficult.

If someone says, “Peter Obi owed contractors,” the next questions should be: Which contractor? What project? How much was owed? Where are the supporting documents?

We should not reduce serious public discussion to anonymous allegations repeated across social media.

This is why Nigerians must develop the habit of checking, questioning, and verifying political claims before accepting or sharing them. Repetition does not automatically turn an allegation into a fact.

And there is another important lesson here: when misinformation is repeatedly circulated without being challenged, some people eventually begin to regard it as established truth. That is why those who have contrary evidence should present it openly, while those defending Peter Obi should also rely on verifiable records rather than emotions.

So, once again, the challenge is straightforward:

If you are a contractor who executed a legitimate contract under Peter Obi’s administration in Anambra State and you were not paid, come forward with the evidence.

Let Nigerians examine the facts for themselves.

Politics should be about records, evidence, and truth, not endless propaganda.

Let us put this matter to rest with facts.”
